System Requirements

• Pentium 233 MHz or better with 64 MB or more of RAM
• Power PC Macintosh with 64 MB or more of RAM
• 256-color display card or better
• 15" monitor (minimally)
• Sound card and speakers
• Windows 98/NT/2000 or Mac OS 8.5
• 1024x768 minimum screen resolution (see below)
• 24x speed CD-ROM drive

Required Applications

• Netscape Navigator 4.5 (or later) or Internet Explorer 5.0 (or later).
• RealNetworks RealPlayer® (version 8 or later recommended). The PC version and the Mac version for OS 9 or below and OS X are included in this CD-ROM (under license from RealNetworks, Inc. Copyright 1995-2003, RealNetworks, Inc. All rights reserved).
• Windows MediaPlayer (PC) or QuickTime Player (Mac).

Changing Monitor Resolution

A monitor resolution of 1024x768 is strongly recommended. To change the monitor resolution on a PC, go to Start, Settings, Control Panel, click on Display, click the Settings tab and choose 1024x768.

To change the resolution on a Mac, go to Control Panels, Monitors & Sound and choose 1024x768.

Troubleshooting

First-time use
When you use the Neuroscience CD-ROM for the first time, you may be prompted to install a RealPlayer Update and/or a RealPlayer component. Please follow the instructions on the screen and complete the installation.
