On the west side of town, shopping areas include:

BRENTWOOD COUNTRY MART: 26th Street and San Vicente, Brentwood. This is a local shopping center which features an open fire pit in the center of a quiet courtyard, surrounded by small shops. You will find a shoe repair, stationery shop, toy store, soap and candle gift shop, Mrs. Beasley’s Muffins, and other one-of-akind shops and markets. Accessible parking, relaxed atmosphere.

Macy’s, Bloomingdales plus 200 other shops. The complex has five floors for parking plus valet parking, 14 movie theaters and many restaurants.

CENTURY CITY SHOPPING CENTER AND MARKETPLACE:
10250 Santa Monica Blvd., just west of Beverly Hills.

Macy’s, Bloomingdales, Gelson’s Market, The Pottery Barn, Williams-Sonoma, Ann Taylor, The Limited, Banana Republic, Godiva Chocolates plus 140 specialty shops (many one-of-a-kind) are located in this upscale outdoor mall. The Marketplace is a large food court. Free parking under the shopping area. Moderate to very expensive.

FOX HILLS MALL:
Slauson exit off the San Diego Freeway (405) in Culver City

Tri-level indoor mall. Macy’s, Penney’s and 130 other specialty stores. Ample parking. Moderate to expensive.

THE GROVE AT FARMER'S MARKET:
Located adjacent to Farmer’s Market on Third Street and Fairfax Avenue, this is one of L.A.’s newest shopping sites. A trolley shuttles shoppers through this upscale open-air mall. You will find Nordstrom, Banana Republic, the Gap, Abercrombie & Fitch, Crate & Barrel, Pottery Barn For Kids, The American Girl Store, and Nikewomen, among others popular stores. Visit the beautiful Art Deco Pacific Movie Theater with 14 screens.
