University Extension Courses
UCLA Extension offers over 4500 classes, conferences, seminars,
lecture series, workshops and special programs each year, enrolling
over 100,000 students. Designed to meet the needs of working
adults, UCLA Extension courses are offered during the day, in the
evening, and on weekends at convenient locations in Westwood,
Downtown Los Angeles, Universal City, and dozens of other places
throughout the Southland. Extension emphasizes real-world, handson
education, with instructors who are working professionals. At
the same time, Extension courses meet UCLA’s rigorous academic
standards. Each quarter they offer hundreds of online courses in
information technology, education, business, creative writing, and
other areas of interest. Extension’s diverse range of courses and
programs offer certificates, (including over 50 certificate programs
for international study), transferable credit, continuing education
credit, and expertise in a variety of fields.
The Extension Building is located in Westwood at 10995 LeConte
Ave. (corner of LeConte and Gayley Aves.) Students may enroll in
person, by mail, telephone, FAX, or online. A 25% reduction in
course fees is available to faculty and staff who are employed at
least 50%. Courses excluded from the discount are those with a
fee of less than $35, single admissions (e.g., to one lecture),
concurrent courses and other special courses such as travel/field
study. A Reduced Fee Enrollment Application must accompany
the registration form and fees. Call 310/825-9971 or visit
