PDA Patient Log Answers:
Email kwigan@mednet.ucla.edu your name, email, and M-Business login name.
You need to first register if this is your first time tyring to access the site.
You need to click on the "Click here to register" link next to the Login button and register using your M-Business username and password.
If you have registered before, make sure you have correctly entered your username and password. This should be the same as your M-Business
login.
Most likely your PDA memory is full. Try freeing up memory by deleting some applications or
storing them in the memory stick.
When you installed and synced M-Business on the second computer, M-Business assumed that you don't have M-Business on your PDA yet, so it'll will put the .prc files onto your PDA and overwrite your old existing files, thus deleting all the forms you've submitted. So try to sync all your stuff on one computer, but if you have to, you can remove the 3 .prc files from the install directory of your hotsync manager on your second computer before your sync.
Go to MBConnect on your PDA. Click on the "Settings" button, check "Refresh All Content", and sync your PDA again.
There are two ways you can check your Log submission:
- Login to: UCLA PDA Log Potal and find the data according to your Clerkship.
- Go to M-Business on your PDA, click on the pull down menu on top. Under the Channels menu, click on Forms Manager. You will see a list of forms you have submitted and its status.
Pending: if you have not synced since you last submitted the form.
Success: form submission went through successfully on your last sync.
Error: an error occured during form submission on your last sync.
Report any submission error to kwigan@mednet.ucla.edu.
When you click on the PDA Patient Log on your PDA, you will see a screen that allows you to select and save a clerkship and location. Select "Clinical Foundations" from the drop down menu for clerkships. Select UCLA CHS for location. Press Save. SYNCHRONIZE AGAIN to download the Clinical Foundations Log. This is the process that you will need to do each time you start a new clerkship rotation.
Log into sync.medsch.ucla.edu, click on "Clear Channel Cache". Then go to MBConnect on your PDA click on the "Settings" button, check "Refresh All Content", and sync your PDA again.
