Zhen gradudated from UCLA with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science
and Engineering. He joined the Instructional Design and Technology Unit
full time in 1999 after working here as a part time student worker.
His primary responsibilities include designing and implementing
web-based database applications using a variety of programming tools
such as Cold Fusion, Java, JSP, Java Beans, ASP, PHP, C++, Flash and
SQL; Setting up, maintaining and administering applications servers:
Cold Fusion Server, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Avantgo Server,
Tomcat, Webboards Forums, ANGEL CMS, eZexam testing system, Real and
Quicktime video streaming servers. He supervises part time student
programmers, trains and supports the use of Audience Response System, assists in audeio/video production, and provides technical support for students and faculty.
