2008 WGEA/WGSA Regional Conference:
"Teams: Collaborating for Success"
Sunday, April 27 - Wednesday, April 30, 2008
Asilomar Conference Center, Pacific Grove, CA
The theme of this year’s joint meeting of the WGEA and WGSA is “Teams: Working Together Toward Success.” Effective teamwork is key to providing outstanding medical care in today’s healthcare environment. Yet, how to effectively teach teamwork skills continues to be a challenge. This conference, targeted at medical students, educators, administrators and clinicians, will address these issues and more. Join us in Asilomar for a series of presentations, workshops and exciting group activities that will be of interest and transcend both student and educational affairs by focusing on such questions as: Why is a team more than the sum of its members? What makes a team work? How do you build an effective team in a multicultural environment? How can different teams work in synergy? How do dispersed teams bridge geographic distances?
Congratulations to this year’s winners of the Award for Excellence!
